Niko, our 11-year-old camper, comes from the Philippines to join our Day Camp. When he arrived at our camp, he was at HSK level 0, which means he was a total beginner. Together with his peers, he learned Mandarin every day, and within a short time, he was able to say basic things in Chinese, like introducing himself. It’s very rewarding to teach Mandarin and to see so many of our students improve their Mandarin skills, from not knowing a word of Chinese to being able to speak in Chinese.
